Postdoc and PhD Positions in Quantum Computing and the Theory of Superconducting Circuits at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
The Theory of Quantum Technology Group at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, lead by professor Michael J. Hartmann invites applications for postdoc and PhD positions in the theory and modeling of superconducting quantum hardware. The positions will be part of the new Bavarian and German programs to develop quantum computers, see https://www.munich-quantum-valley.de.
You will be working in close collaboration with the project partners. Your research will comprise developing versatile coupling circuits to endure high connectivity and low cross talk as well as the development of novel qubit architectures that feature increased error resilience.
For postdocs, we offer a full E13 salary of the TVL scheme and an initial contract for 24 month that can be extended further. For PhDs we offer a 75% E13 salary.
To apply, please send your cv, possibly a list of publications and a one page research statement to michael.j.hartmann@fau.de.
